however beating the hell out of a 20k truck over rocks and stuff... thats just fun.

NO. My point is - let people buy whatever the $#%^ they want with their money. If you want to talk about saving the environment because of gas issues... I don't see anyone telling ppl in Cali they need to shut off their computers whenever it's not being used to save electricity.

1)What do you like
2)What do you need
3)What can you afford

If you are really lucky these three are the same thing. If not, then you are forced to pick one of them.

I don't care what folks wear, but we do pay a collectively higher price in terms of fuel inefficiency for the legions of folks driving SUVs with MPG ratings in the 13-19 range.

If folks live in the mountains, snow, ranches, and really use SUVs, more power to ya. It's the poseurs I can't stand.
