i mean the real ones! im thinkin of getting one from hpi. www.hpi.com

heres their new kit im thinking of getting http://hpiracing.com/kits/rtr3-m.htm

i dont know if you all play with them still, but i know they were quite popular. they go FAST too! 40-60 mph typical. some of those beefed up ones can go triple digits! lol, anyway, let me know if you have any tips or whatever. i dont know too much

Looks pretty tight 🙂

I had an Associated RC500 (old school 1/8th scale) with a two speed transmission and rear disc brakes. It used a friction wheel starter (against the flywheel) which was a total PITA...supposedly did upwards of 70mph, I probably had it up to 50...sold it because I needed the cash (expeeeeensive hobby).

I've got an HPI Super Nitro Rally and I LOVE it.

I have to say though, if you want into this hobby, don't get the RTR car. Get the kit. When you put the car together yourself, you'll gain infinite wisdom into the workings of the car which will help you tremendously when it comes to tuning it for optimum performance (read: track day!).

Any other questions you have, please PM me... I'm more than happy to help out a fellow R/Cer!
