i'm not in Toronto, i'm in Oregon.

Get into Jazz and playing faky books (books which have chords to tons of songs) and you just improvise. girls dig guys who can play insturments.

I can confirm that... I play a little guitar (suck at it, but still enjoy it) and the girls just melt. Pretty funny actually.

I can play sorta I was self taught, and never carried it to far, I started on the piano than went to percussion stuff, than guitar, now I don't do any of it:p ohh well if I had lessons I would love it, Its awesome being able to play. I don't have a piano at my house either so I have to go to my parents if I want to.

I played for 8 or 9 years back in the day. I gave it up when I started playing clarinet.

I took lessons for 8 years, staring at 6 years old. I still played after I finished lessons, so I consider myself a pretty decent musician.

I was fortunate enough to take piano lessons for most of my adolescent life. I still play whenever I get the chance.

Currently struggling with Chopin, Impromptu no. 1 in A Flat :D

I used to play when I was a kid. Some people thought I was pretty good, but I didn't.

I could play pieces like, "The Pink Panther", "Star Wars Theme", "9 to 5", etc..., but perfectionism and musical instruments don't go together very well. It frustrated me to no end.

I'm too cold and mechanical. I can't put feeling into music.

I started when I was about 5 playing by ear after hearing my mother play various Beethoven Piano Sonatas (#8, #14). I started playing violin when I was about 12. I'm 23 now, and I went for about 2 years without piano due to apartment dwelling, so my sight-reading capabilities somewhat diminished. I'm working through Beethoven's Piano Sonata #23 right now.

When I was a child I wanted nothing more than to study piano, but certain powers of influence felt that a well-rounded child was more socially palatable :( I would've loved to have been a professional classical pianist.
