Who owns the Altec Lansing ACS54 and Soundblaster Live ?

I would like to get the ACS54 4 speaker and subwoofer set.
My question is

1. Where does the 4 speakers plug into. Does this set use both the Outputs of the Soundblaster Live for the front and rear speakers or one one output.

It has two stereo cables that go to the sub where all the speakers plug in. One plugs into the front output, the other plugs into the rear output of the SBLive. So it is true 4-channel.

But I would like to convince you NOT to get it. Get a Cambridge FPS100 at the least, preferably a FPS2000. The ACS54 is weak, the sub is pretty much trash, and the satelites have not trebble. With volumes at 50% on the computer, and the speaker set to a comfortable volume, when you hit walls in Pod Racer it bottoms out the satellites, and they make a popping noise.

They just don't cut it, pretty weak too.

Glad i ordered the ACS56 set today!

Was gonna get the FPS2000... but from some of the reviews that i have read the ACS56 seemed like the better set.

Oh yeah I know you get what you pay for, but thats why I said to go some other way, the ACS54 are not worth the $50.
