I have two of them...the first one I had was a version one and for some reason it would not recognize my XP athlon even after flashing the bios. Right now it is serving as my File server with a 1gig Duron I had laying around. The second one I bought was a rev 2.0 and it rus flawlwssly with my 2100+XP processor.

There are a couple of reasons I choose this board

1) Promise Raid controller can be ran as a simple ATA controller so I can pack in the Hard drives...I have 5 WD 120 gigers in my server

2) Onboard LAn is preferble to me

3) 6 channel SB audio works quite well

If you are looking at using this board for Raid capabilities I believ the latest Bios fix resolved some previous issues this board had with the promise Raid.

Had the 1.1 revision and the backup bios went bad, then it froze while trying to update the main bios, RMA'd it to newegg, got the 2.0 version and perfecto, no problems at all.

I will be purchasing this board very soon, I think the important thing here is that you make sure you get a 2.0 revision model.

Just to add a "me too..."

GA-7VRXP rev 1.1 and F4 BIOS with an Athlon XP 2000+ running at 1.80GHz (144MHz bus) with very few problems.
I occasionally have a 3D game that locks up, but I think it's more related to my overclocked Radeon 8500 than the motherboard; Win XP reports a video driver error. I've never had a non-3D app lock up, except during extreme FSB overclocking.
Otherwise, the system seems rock stable, and I'm quite happy with my purchase.
I've been unable to raise my bus speed above 144MHz, but I suspect it's my processor (not unlocked) or RAM (generic PC2700) holding me back.
The on-board sound is just fine for me using decent Altec Lansing speakers, the on-board LAN is just great, and has more USB ports than you can shake a stick at.
