Who makes these drives? (gateway laptop optical drives)

After my post last week, I decided to get a gateway Solo laptop instead - I can get a discount through school. I do have another question, though - who makes the optical drives used in gateway laptops? The two I'm interested in particularly are the 8x DVD and 8x8x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD combo drives; any help would be appreciated.
