I recently bought a Simpletech 256MB PC133 RAM and I am trying to find out who the manufacturer for the chipset is (manily to find out if this is CAS2 or CAS3 RAM).

This is what is printed on the chips --

VT VT3612804T-7H
3A 0133
73B0132

Any idea who the manufacturer is ?

VT=?

Thanks !

I believe it's Viking Technologies, but don't sue me cuz I am at lunch and don't feel like thinking too much right now. :p

I believe that is Mosel Vitalic, however those markings should also be accompanied by some kind of 'sun' logo. If so, then it's Mosel for sure. ;) Good stuff.

Thanks for the response guys !

MoMeanMugs: I thought so too (that these are Viking chips) ... however, searching the Viking website, I didn't find any reference to this part number or anything similar.

EY2K: I don't think these are Mosel Vitalic chips. First, there is not "sun" symbol, the only 'symbol' on the chips is "VT" written in big fonts. Second, the chips I got doesn't look anything like the Mosel Vitalic stick shown here

ANy other ideas ?

I believe it is VTI which is produced by VLSI Technology, a subsidiary of Philips Semiconductors.

It has a big VT on each chip.
