I am in the market for some quality RAM and am wondering who makes the best RAM out of these brands:
1. Corsair (XMS Series)
2. Crucial
3. Kingston
4. OCZ.

Thank you for any recommendations:).

Always been partial to Corsair and Crucial personally :) Though I've build systems out of all of the first three and all still work fine :)

I'd avoid OCZ, though. I still don't trust them given their more than shady past...

Out of those brands, you already have them in order. The top three are very reputable, the bottom one is a company that used to screw people terribly, but was supposedly bought by someone that's trying to turn things around. I agree with RyanVM, I'd still avoid them.

I like Corsair and OCZ best, I have bought 3 different OCZ sticks in the last 6 months and they have all been very good performers.

Thank you for all you replies. I think I will get the Corsair XMS Series. I want to get a low latency model and I am wondering what is the difference between the PC-3200LLPT and PC-3200LL is. I think the only difference is that the PC-3200LLPT has a platinum silver heat spreader and the PC-3200LL just has a heat spreader. If so, would the platinum silver heat spreader make any difference:)?

Heatspreaders are just for show, no real function. Which ever you think looks better you should go with.

Though, scientifically, Silver is the best conducting element we have. Though I'm confident both heatspreaders are made out of aluminum, just the non-platinum is painted black. :)
