Hi,

I'd like to buy a lightbox or light tent. Who makes good bang for your buck ones?

Where can I purchase them?

Thanks.

What sort of light source? Depending, you can buy straight from the manufacturer or through a retailer like B & H. "Bang for your buck" is highly subjective. :) (You know your handle is misspelled, yeah?)

I would just make your own. Some regular lamps with clamps at the end, a white bed cloth, and some kind of see through box. A plastic frosty translucent bin works well.

What do I need to consider in regards to light souce? I was just going to shine a desk lamp through it. Do I need to buy special lights now?

My handle is purposely misspelled.

all my camera porn shots are done with a homemade lightbox made from science-fair type foam board with a sheet of posterboard for the backdrop. the sides are white printer paper. the light source is a desk lamp with a 100 watt equivalent daylight-type compact fluorescent bulb. hardly high spec stuff, but the light is a pretty good color spread and with white balance it's pretty much right on. the bulb at $8 was the most expensive part of it.
