My friend just bought a Dell 700MHz P3 + 32MB M4 ATI card. He plays Counterstrike on it but it's no where near the performance of his TNT2 for some reason. He's mad now that the GeForce2 Go is out ;)

geforce2go is the best idea. Only problem is I hear they may make a 16 mb version to cut costs.
You'll be stuck at 640x480 for life then. The other problem is the refresh rates on laptops are kinda bad for twitch games like CS. They're allright for RTS games like starcraft but thats about it. I'd stick with a desktop for gaming. Its cheaper and more enjoyable.

Might want to check out GamePC.com. They sell systems custom configured for gaming. They sell gaming servers, desktop computers, and laptops.

OMG that place is such a ripoff..

look at how much they charge for parts when you configure a computer... you can buy it yourself at half the price.

$163 for a US Robotics 56k v.90 External Modem??? wtf?

They do offer OEM versions of CPU's or your choice of Retail but hell, you only get a $2 difference, wtf is that?
