What's a good brand name to go with for various car bearings? (clutch, wheel, etc.)

Just get the BCA/Federal Mogul brand.....they are the highest quality you can get at the autoparts store.

TRW, Clevite (Michigan) 77, Federal-Mogul (BCA), NSK, and Timken are all used widely throughout OEM, racing, and hipo applications. I'm not sure if there's a "best" bearing manufacturer.

I have used a lot of different bearings and I can't tell a difference. Just use good grease, I use a semi-syn, and a new seal and you should be fine.
