Hi, for a while now I've been using Nvidia cards, BFG to be exact.
I just sold my 7800GTX 512MB to replace it with the new X1900 XTX. The only problem is that I really don't know which brand to buy.
Right now, only BBA and Sapphire cards are available.
Should I order 1 of those, or should I wait for the official lauch and buy a specific vendor?
Who is consider the top ATI based card maker?

TIA!

I dont think sapphire makes all the built by ati cards. ATI hires them to built some or many of their cards, but not all. The reason has to do with lack of resources on ATIs part. But i would definitely say go with Sapphire.

I ordered a VisionTek X1900XTX only because of the lifetime warranty. Although I usually upgrade my videocard every 2 years, passing the card down to my other PCs' I like the lifetime warranty. ATI just pisses me off with their 1 year warranty - thats BS!!! When you are spending $400.00 or more you should at least get two years.

The XTX is currently the only X1900-Series card available for sale from VisionTek, or else I would have opted for the X1900XT. While I went for the my HIS X800 XT PE over the non-PE card last time around, I really can't justify spending the extra $100.00 for 3-7% better performance (at best!). Lousy price/performance ratio for sure.

Yeah, stay away from BBA cards. I didn't know the warranty was only 1 year. Had I known, I would have picked up a different brand like Visiontek. It's a good thing I'll probably be going back to NVIDIA before the warranty runs out.
