Who makes Liteon CDRW drives?

Yeah I just picked up their 8x burner for 135. Not a bad deal for what comes with it. Clonecd compatible with firmware update, and I can finally use my 50 spindle of pny cdr's (yes!).
 
Liteon does not make their own drives. They take an OEM drive from one of the few companies that make their own drives(Phillips, Yamaha, Plextor, etc..) and modify the external components to make it look original and also modify the firmware so it shows up in Windows with their own brand name. A lot of Liteon's older cdrws were acutally Ricoh drives-dont know about the newer models though.
