Who makes HP CD-RW drives?

I have a bet here at the office that Sony makes HP's CD-RW drives. If I'm right, do any of you have links to prove that I'm right/wrong?

Actually, the different HP models are made by different manufacturers. For example, the 7xxx series (really old) was by Phillips or someone. The 8100 was by Sony. I don't know who the present series is by. But I'm sure they are not exclusively Sony's.
