I'm looking for a good manufacturer of an EATX chassis that is very conservative and serious in both form and function. Who are the big players out there right now for such a case? Last time I was in this game, I was using Antec SX-1030Bs and right before their 'Performance Series' line came out. Antec makes one black EATX case I really like for servers, but I want to see what else is out there.

Links please! Thanks in advance.

Enermax has some very large server cases as well. 19 - 23 5.25" bays. Excellent cases--just not for those that want silence. Because they are loud as hell.

Most of the Skyhawk MSR series can't hold a full (12x13") EATX mobo. They are a lot of case for the money though and http://www.mwave.com still has some if you'd like for some other project.

Enermax CS-10182. Very nice case for reasonable money.

CoolerMaster Stacker already mentioned above.

Chenbro is always a good bet for sturdy, conservative cases. Their SR20503 is one of the smallest cases than can handle a 12x13 mobo. Many of their EATX capable srvr/wksta cases are unusually compact. Also not easy to find at the usual hobbyist sites - found easily with froogle though.

Yeong Yang also makes some nice cases: WW201/202 and their cubes, but you'll play heck finding a place to buy them.

Several of the Silverstone cases can fit EATX but are kind of pricey - the TJ05 is the most reasonably priced. If you still like the Antec style case, Chenming is a way to get them w/o a PSU as the Antec PSU star doesn't shine as brightly as it once did. Codegen CAT-9011, S-101, S-201 (usually carried by Newegg and Dealsonic etc.) aren't as well made as some others, but they'll definitely do the job. The Thermaltake Xaser V7000 has a bit of bling on the front, but they are big, sturdy cases (the Damier is the Alunimum version) and quite inexpensive relative to the price they started at. The Armor w/o window is OK as well - you can dump the LED fans and it can look quite conservative. SVC has one of the Damiers w/o window at under $100.

Just scratched the surface here.

Happy shopping :)

Galvanized, there was a reason the PC-G70 was invented for ;) For another 5 dollars on top of the PC-70, you get a 120 on the side door, a 120 in the back, and a really cool look.

And an extra PSU spot. (Read: Extra fan spot, or peltier time!)
Newegg has it for 200+15 shipping.
That's the best price on the black case, the white one can be had for ~170+shipping [usually 15 bucks] if you fr[g]oogle around.

Edit:

Silver for 180+shipping here.
Black for 215 shipped [/u]here.

Another vote for Chenbro, I have had alot of experience with the SR-105 & SR-107
series, they are sturdy, no frills and have good airflow also the 107 can handle (2)
4-bay SCSI/SATA hotswap backplanes if needed. They can be had in the $100-175
range w/o PSU.

chenbro as well.

I have the SR20969B (Black and NO BLING)

(SR105/107) are EATX. these things are solid as can be, and cooling is great.

great prices at ewiz or ebay (brand new)

servers-direct might have some left as well.

Antec can't compete with Chenbro in terms of build quality.

SR105

you can choose the front bezel as well. I like the SR-10569, which has the absolute least amount of bling.
