My friend was just asking me how cheap I could find the new plextor 12x10x32 drive, and while looking for a good price I ran into this new Aopen unit. Heres a link to the specs:
Model: CRW1232
Interface: E-IDE/ATAPI (SFF8020)
/MW-DMA Mode-2 (16.6 MB/sec)
Data Buffer Memory: 4MB
Data Transfer Rate:
Write CD-R: 2X,4X,8X,12X Write CD-RW: 2X,4X,10X
Read: Up to 32X (1X=150KB/s)
Average Access Time: 120ms or less

Heres a link to the more detailed specs

So, since I can never find reviews of aopen CDRWs I was curious if anyone knows who makes this unit and how it compares to the plextor

Thanks,
Chris

There seems to be some confusion as to whether the Ricoh MP7120 (or the Aopen version of it) has the justlink technology which is basically the newer version of 'burnproof'.

I heard Ricoh is releasing a newer version of the 7120 that is also an 8x dvd drive and has the justlink technology. Now that would be a sweet drive.
