Who makes a wireless KB/Mouse

Preferably in black? 🙂

I'm looking for a wireless KB with a built-in mouse/trackball/touchpad. Doesn't matter which as long as it has something.

If you are wondering its for our living room. Our cable connection is there and we are just about to put up a box to act as our router/firewall and since we have a video card w tv-out we might as well make use of it 😀

Thanks scrap but I am really looking for an in built mouse surfing on the couch will be a pain with a seperate mouse.

Cordless trackballs are excellent for surfing on your couch or bed. I got a logitech cordless trackball and keyboard just for surfing on my bed. I'd suggest the microsoft trackball though because I compared my logitech to my friend's ms, and the ms definitely felt more solid.

Hmm but I really need something cordless. The PC is tucked away somewhere and a good 10 feet away from the couch.

Logitech Cordless Desktop optical here...purdy. Nuff said.

🙂

LOL, ok, ill go on. I actually bought it for the keyboard cause i really liked it...i dont use the mouse much at all, bought an Intellimouse Explorer 3 a day after i got the Logitech, partly because the wirelessmouseman optical hates the ratpad, and id just got one the week before...got the IE3 cheap, so i took it, hehe....i use both mice and both keyboards (old keyboard is still used because my mum absolutely pounds the keyboard, and i aint having here break my £80 kit, lol) at same time, its a nice setup....

How do these wireless keyboards/mouse's handle high speed 3D games ? Is the response time quick enough on them that's it's not a problem, or is there a 'lag' ? I think the Logitech combo (wireless optical mouse and wireless keyboard) is $79 this week at one of the major electronics stores - Best Buy I think...

I dont really use the mouse for games, i use the IE3....but when i have, i didnt notice any real difference...i use the keyboard all the time though, works well for me...USB connected so i can utilise the PS/2 ports for the other keyboard and the IE3...

The original limit on mine was about 11ft...my friends got the Cordless Mouseman Optical and in his environment it pulls even more...it wasnt quite enough for me though, so i solved that by putting a 3m USB extenion on the reciever, and it goes rouond the side of the room and sits a couple feet behind me over my left shoulder now...meaning it works thorugh my room, which is quite large...

Their " 6ft range" is a load of crap really id say...it is quite environment dependant though...and certainly try to keep the receiver away from monitors...i got a couple extra feet range just from moving it from the gap inbetween my monitors, to the left hand side of them....even though it was as close as ever to one of them, it was further away from the other and it definately helped......im not sure of the range on my kit now, since id have to leave the room to find out, lmao 😛

EDIT: typo hell 🙂

Hi

I have just done the exact same thing and I used this keyboard, the BTC 5113. Its small, black, has the built in mouse, multimedia keys and is very light. I have no idea where you would get it in the US but I just so happened to get it locally here in the UK 🙂

Thanks everyone I ordered a Black BTC 5110R its essentially the same features the 5113 as MCS suggested but does not have the side handles for easy grip. Came to $25 + $7.50 for ground shipping from Cal from[ L=OpenLinx]http://www.openlinx.net/cgi-bin-openlinx/PerlShop.cgi?ACTION=ENTER&thispage=page15.htm&ORDER_ID=!ORDERID![/L]. Only problem is the silly think is a has a PS2 adapter 🙁 No biggie though.

I nearly ordered what Spoon had but he told me it was a bit flimsy so I decided to skip that for something cheaper that apparently is relatively sturdy.

I would have been in a heartbeat! Only problem is I needed a mouse to be fixed to the keyboard via touchpad/trackball whatever. I've always been a logitech fan.

Currently using an MS Natural Pro keyboard and am dieing for them to release a Biege corded ergonomic mice.
