Who makes a good quality laptop

OK, I've been to dell, I've been to gateway, I've been to IBM, I've seen Vaios and HP's and (shudders) compaqs

Is there anyone else in the laptop market worth dealing with?

I'm a huge fan of fujitsu lifebooks - they look good and I've had almost zero problems with mine for two years. Certainly worth taking a look at.

Got a Dell P2 400 laptop that is working fine. It's not exactly top-of-the-line, but then, I didn't pay top-dollar for it either. It runs just fine for me.

toshiba, though a lot of their notebooks seem to be less competitive lately. dell for some notebooks.

i've been using HPs and toshibas, and i have had less problems with the hps, they have bios support i guess.

I like Dell and IBM a lot, though some people complain about IBM's laptop RMA policy. Its really a matter of personal preference though, every laptop maker and model has its pluses and negatives. Personally I like the C400 from Dell a lot.

I think that Toshiba and Fujitsu are flimsy. Toshibas feel and look like junk in my hands, and I can see that the Sonys are high quality but I hate their look and too small feel. Odd, I don't actually like any of the Japanese laptops, maybe its because I'm a big white guy, but I dunno.

Do you guys find yourselve having a bias, like how the Japanese hated the big Xbox controller?
