So the last two days I've gone by Jack in the Box and got a Jumbo Jack no onions and large ice tea for $3.25. What an excellent breakfast! 😀

So who here likes to eat hamburgers for breakfast?

I personally like my smitties here in town for breakfast.

2 eggs, bacon, hashes, toast and coffee for 3.19 canadian. That is what, 50c american?

Yes, hamburgers are excellent breakfast food.

Probably better for you than your average sausage-based breakfast sandwich. 🙂

Personally, I don't like heavy breakfasts, except on lazy weekends...I'm more of a cereal, fruit & coffee type of guy. Maybe some pancakes every now and then.

lots of other cultures eat the same food for breakfast as they do for any other meal.

the idea of 'breakfast' food is a western thing, methinks

I love not having boundaries on what foods you eat whenever you want them...I love some pizza (not the breakfast kind) or a burger in the morning.

i actually like eating breakfast jack's for dinner. go figure. but then again, i could breakfast food all day. eggs and pancakes at 7pm while i watch a ball game? sure why not!

actually if you read about edward bernays, the father of PR and nephew of Freud - also responsible for helping sell the genocide in latin america as a good nice fun thing for americans and a person who thought the masses had to be led around by the elite on marionette strings - he was instrumental in an amazingly effective PR campaign to make bacon & eggs the default american breakfast food.

and onions with a burger always!

info on bernays' eggs:

"was popularised in the United States by Edward Bernays in the 1920s and 1930s. In order to promote sales of bacon, he conducted a survey of physicians and reported their recommendation that people eat hearty breakfasts. He sent the results of the survey to 5,000 physicians, along with publicity touting bacon and eggs as a hearty breakfast."
