Finaly after *months* of counting down the time till purchase dates only to be disapointed multiple times, it's realy going to happen.
The builder is done traveling for a few weeks and has given my the thumbs up to order😀 but hasn't said much about the actual parts

I just want to know if theres anything at all that might cause compatibility issues, spot it out and I'll sell you my soul:beer:

Oh and it wouldn't be to hard to overclock the CPU to 2.4 and RAM to 800, would it?

There are no compatability issues, however, you arent getting the most for your money. First of all:
Why do you need a 600w psu? There are no hacks that allow xfire for that mobo, so you will be golden with something like 400w with 28amps on the 12v rails combined... that sounds a lot like... the enhance 5140gh! Hey!😀 Id get that instead. Also:
Newegg has a 2x1gb kit of ddr2-667 OCZ gold RAM for $140 after rebate. $180 before. Its the same thing as the patriot in specs and price, so you may as well send in the rebate and save $40 more than you planned on. Good ocing RAM as well.
Im not a fan of rosewill cases, but they are very cheap, so I guess its not hurting your performance.
Nothing is garenteed, but Id gues you can get 2.4-2.6 ghz out of that on stock volts. Especially if that DFI is as good as their lanparty series.
Good luck!

whoops I probobly should have mentioned that.
The reason for the 600W psu is that I don't want to upgrade my psu when I finay get a DX10 (which won't be right away)

That is some cheap ram right there! but judging by the reviews on Newegg and a couple articles the OCZ could probobly get 800MHz while the Patriot could probobly get 1000MHz (however I couldn't get either of those, these will be my first overclocked components and I don't want to break anything)... So sense the Patriot will probobly help me accomplish my small overclock goals the easist it appeals to me more

Ya I know the rosewill cases are not the best around but like you said they're cheap!
and anything should feel more sturdy then my 5 year old, plastic, Dell case😛

Glad to hear you don't think it's all good

Dell cases aren't that bad.

I seriously doubt you will need a 600W PSU for a DX10 card. Go with a high quality 500 watt

Well then, in that case, just get a 7600gt to hold you over and save $150! why get a high end card now if youre getting an ultra high end card in 1 or 2 months?😕 Anyway, check out my RAM recommendation. Oh! Almost forgot. That OCZ, as galvanized pointed out, has an out of spec ripple on the 12v rails. This could put your much needed power (by the predictions of dx10 cards) in jeapordy. The solution? Check out a corsiar 520w modular psu. It has 40amps combined on the 12v rails (3). I think it is $115 ATM. Also check out the enhance 0560g, and the seasonic 600w. Good luck!

EDIT: Purduery... wasn't the prediction for power consumption like 300w or something?

EDIT2: In the event that you don't need 600w, your two main considerations should be the enhance 5150gh rev. 3 and the corsiar 520w unit I mentioned if you want modular, but @ $80 shipped, and 36smps combined, the enhance is good enough, actually great. The rev. 3 should be available soon if not already out.

I am not entirely sure, but if that is the case I am going to go slap the EE's that designed that. I am not even sure how you would cool that. If you thought the Prescott got hot...you can only imagine.

Feel free to quote me on this...I will be shocked if DX10 cards used over 300watts under load. That leaves 200 watts for the CPU, RAM, HD's and other stuff. That is more than enough at this point unless someone is going crossfire/SLI with DX10 cards.

What does DX10 have to do with upgrading your PSU?

If it used that much power, I wouldn't touch it with a 2KM pole.

why would they make 2nd hard drives if they thought the current crop would be enough? Oh right, they want to squeeze every last penny out of us for useless crap. Damn extortionist...:|

If you must get Windwoes XP, get a retail or retail upgrade version (yes you can install an upgrade on an empty drive - you just need the CD from an acceptable previous version for it to look at while installing. If you decide to upgrade major hardware like the mobo down the road M$ will make you buy a new license if you use OEM XP. With a retail or retail upgrade version all you'll have to do is reactivate.
