Who knows how to get custom maps working in UT 2004?

I've downloaded a couple UT 2004 onslaught maps that I want to try but I can't seem to get them installed. I've tried putting the files in the map directory, I've also tried a map installing program. Either way, the maps don't show up in the game's map browser and they also don't work if I try to open them from windows or in the game console...

Something else that's been bothering me is that there's an ECE mod for UT 2004 onslaught mode and I used to be able to select regular or ECE maps in the game's map browser (they say Torlan (Bonus vehicles) instead of just Torlan for example) but I can't do that anymore. Should I try reinstalling the game?

I don?t have it installed atm, but from what I remember some of the maps have other files like sound/static mesh that need to go into other directories to work. No readme files with the maps you downloaded? They usually tell you which dirs the files need to go in. You could or should anyway be able to double click the map file to launch it. If that?s not working I think you need to reinstall or re-downloads the files as they might be corrupt.

Do you have that official maps only checkbox checked in the map viewer?

Like paperfist said, you gotta put the files in the correct folders.

*.utx = /Textures
