Who knows about TV's?

Ok, so I need some TV repair assistance, is there any TV guys here?

A couple weeks ago, my tv in my bedroom (27" Proscan) started acting up. When you first turn it on, the picture will show, and then all of a sudden it will go to static. If you move the cable around on the back, the picture will return. So I figured that it was a bad coax cable or something, so I replaced it... However this did not solve the problem. Now it is still doing this, and I have found that if I stomp on the floor it will fix it 😀.. Well I have had enough of stomping, and I would like to fix the problem. I am pretty electronic savy, and taking a soldering iron to my tv is not a big deal. Do you think it is just a loose connection where the coax hits the connector, or is it something else that I can fix?

Any ideas?

I'd assume that a solder joint has gone bad on the back of the coax jack, but I'm no tv repairman.

Same here, I've not worked on that kind of TV, but I would expect that the coax cable connector has came unsoldered.
