"Who keeps the metric system down?" (And where to find washers?)

First of all, I apologize if anybody feels that this was the wrong forum; I wasn't sure where to put it. Now, on to the question:

Does anybody know a place online where I can order some metric nylon washers? (I need them for heatsink-mounting puproses.) Every hardware store in my area prefers some weird unit of measurement called the "inch" or something. Crazy. Anyway, a search on google found me lots of confusing, low-budget sites for hardware stores/manufacturers that don't seem to actually sell stuff online. Also, I'm only looking to buy like eight of these cheap little things, but if I really need to settle for a box of 100, I guess that I'll have to take what I can get.

Thanks.

Does this happen to be for the Alpha PAL8xxx series? I can get you a link to Alpha's replacement-parts ordering page if you want.

Yeah, that link would be be awesome! How'd you guess? 😀

BTW, Antisocial-Virge, it's the thickness of the washers that's an issue. Normal #6 washers have the right diameter, but they're like three times thicker than the metric ones. And they're just too damn small for somebody without really good tools to whittle away at their thickness.

Righto, sorry it took me so long to get the link for you 😕 but here it is: Alpha spare-parts order form

Alright, yeah, thanks for the linko! Don't worry about it taking long, I live off in the country, where everything is slow except for the pickup trucks.

And as much as I'm all about Damning the Man, I'm ecstatic that the reference was caught... 😉
