Ugh. Please don't talk to me about personal statements for the University of California application process! I helped a few different people with their statements over the past several weeks.
I applied to several different campuses, but am honestly expecting to get rejected.
Ugh. Please don't help people with their personal statements.
The inability to write a 600 and two 200 word statements means you shouldn't go to UC.
Did any of them actually get in?Originally posted by: virtualgames0

lol I helped a few of my HS friends. Yeah their statements were pretty bad. Both were girls with little confidence. One even wrote, I know I have no talents or anything special about me. She somehow thinks being modest and humble is a good thing.

I applied with the address I live at in CA. SAT's of 1530, 4 APs and 2 college courses, over 1500 hours of community service and a paid job with habitat for humanity this past year. If not for these extracurriculars I would have zero chance in hell.
Still expecting to get owned.

Cal grad here. It's a tradition that most Valedictorians (like me) from my area attend Cal. I don't think Cal admissions is that random. Lots of top kids I know were rejected. I met many geniuses at Cal.
Go Bears!
