I never understood all the twice removed, etc, talk.

Ok if the "removed" part is generations, whats the "second" mean? Whats the difference between a second cousin and a third cousin?

Hmmm, according to your link, you would be correct. I've never used the once/twice removed terms before and don't really know anyone who does. Guess it's most often employed by people working in or making a serious hobby of genealogy.
