Who is UBER at art? Need some help identifying pics....

Those are some poor quality pics!

Many of those are buildings (or ruins); do you want the architect? Civilization?

7 is a reconstruction drawing of a ziggaraut from Ancient mesopotamia in present day Iraq. It probably was in the ancient city of Babylon, Ur, or Uruk. It was made of mudbrick, and was probably used to worship the sky god Anu, or the storm god Marduk.

8 is the ancient greek parthenon I believe. I am not sure where exactly this is, but I want to say Athens. It is made of Limestone, and was created to worship Athena.

9 I think is a cave painting discovered in France I believe.

10 is sort of garbled, but that resembles the Arch de Triumphe in Paris, France.

11 These figures are from ancient Egypt from around the Middle Kingdom era. The one on the left shows a nobleman as the head of the family, with the rst of his family by his side. This was probably carved from limestone. You can tell the era of the Egyptian empire by how the hands sit on his lap. As far as the pictures on the right, they are probably from the Rameses II dynasty of Egypt. The person on the right is the god Osirus I beleive. The person on his left is his wife, and these are probably Ka statues entombed with the noble or pharoah.

(Unnumbered) This is the cathedral of Notre Dame. I dont know much other than the fact that it was created sometime in the rennaisance around 16th century. Look for more info on the web.

2 Looks like a Roman or Greek statue for the goddess of equality or justice. I am not sure which goddess it is.

3, 4, 5 I have no idea what those are.
My college archeology classes actually paid off. 🙂

3 is a bilblical scene where jesus 'recruited' some apostles who were fishing (the walk on water episode)
hope that helps.

It is the Parthenon, located at the Acropolis at Athens. Just to nitpick, it's actually made primarily of marble.

its too small to be the parthenon, parthenon has 8 columns, and this picture only has 6, I think its a church next to the parthenon.

rich

edit: it might be the temple of hera?
