Who is the OEM for Dell Inspirion 9300?

My friend had a laptop about 9 or 10 years ago, it had a different name on it, but it was the exact same machine as the Dell equivilant. The price was cheaper and the warranty stunk, but it was a decent deal. He sold it a long time ago and neither one of us can remember what the name was.

He broke the CDROM on it and the repacement was about half what Dell wanted. A battery was a lot less two

I just kind of wanted it in case I need a part for my new Inspirion 9300, like a battery maybe

Thanks..

I have found Dell Spare parts to be much cheaper than ebay.
For example, Bluetooth card on ebay is about $50, while Dell has it for $50 when you order laptop, or $15 if you wait and get it through spare parts.

You're looking for the ODM manufacturer, not the OEM. ODM companies provide the blank slates to companies like Dell, who then put their name on it and sell it.
I don't know Dell's specific ODM manufacturer for the 9300, but some of the popular companies are Arima, Compal, Chembook, and a bunch others. Google around!

fbrdphreak: I did, but didn't seem to find a clone of the 9300, maybe it's too new?

RobsTV: Hmm, I figured spare parts from Dell would be the highest of all. That's a shocker..

Thanks..

It might just be an ODM model that isn't for public sale right now. I'd imagine Dell would be wise enough to put a clamp on any ODM models that might potentially be sold to the public for even less than Dell does 😉

That or Dell designed the 9300 in house, which is possible
