This thought crossed my mind yesterday.

Bo Jackson is easily the best player (despite limited plays), SF may have the best offense, and Chicago may have the best defense, but which team brings it all together?

Philly. Randall Cunningham is very fast and has a laser arm in that game, and Reggie White can get a sack on damn near every passing play. I tore shit up with that team. (Super Tecmo Bowl)

This isn't even debateable. Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen...

What football game has a more lopsided franchise team than the L.A. Raiders on Tecmo Bowl?

Raiders, hail mary, run as far back as you can until the defense catches up with you and throw the BOMB for a TD, works every time.

If you're talking regular Tecmo Bowl, I'd have to say the Giants. LT dominates everyone.

Super Tecmo Bowl.....San Fran is unbeatable. At least if I'm playing with them. There is one particular pass play to Jerry Rice that is unstoppable. The computer moves the defenders away from Rice to allow him to catch the ball. 8 yards every time, can't be stopped.

That would be my quick. SF was a real good team as well. Tecmo Bowl was truly one of the best video games ever made. :)

I think you guys are all talking about Tecmo SUPER Bowl, right? Tecmo bowl didn't even have NFL license (tho the teams were modeled after NFL ones)

TSB relies so heavily on player conditions... if we say you have a fresh season start (all players in default condition), best teams are probably NYG and SF.

bo jackso probably the most dominant individual player, but i don't find the raiders that strong otherwise

my favorite is making popcorn with the nigerian nightmare... and i like derrick thomas on defense... i like the LBs... LT is insane (another reason for the strength of the giants).

Tecmobowl... not TSB.

1) Montana / Rice / Lott
2) Bo Jackson / M Allen.
3) LT
4) Singletary / Perry

Techmo Bowl? Or Techmo Super Bowl?

Incredible status Bo Jackson was unstoppable. The Lions also had a sweet offense with Barry.

My team of choice was SF however my 2nd team was NY as LT was dominating. The Giants O wasnt as good as SF's.....and SF had a pretty descent D with my primary player being Lott but nowhere near what LT did to my opponents.

Great Game!

Barry Sanders/Bo Jackson

b/c it doesn't really matter in that game, otherwise.

You could do silly things with LT and the Giants. Blocking field goals and extra points was relatively easy.

TSB was stupid to play 1 on 1 b/c if you didn't run all your pass plays from shotgun, any decent D line player lined up over center could sack your QB every gd time before you finished the 3 step drop.

Original tecmo bowl...

Bears hands down. Payton running and I think it was gault? mr interception. Plus singletary could sack the qb quite well.

But each of them only has one running play and Marcus Allen isn't much better than the other running backs in the game. Also, LA's defense isn't great for the game; they lack a standout linebacker

Works even better when it's Montana-Rice. And if Rice is covered, Mike Wilson's sprinting down the opposite sideline.
