I say the watchers. If they would just change the channel, the shows wouldn't get the ratings and therefore would lose advertisement money.

I really don't know. He's a guy who constantly tries to be funny (even on Leno the other day), yet fails miserably every time.

Actually, now that I think about it. Probably the number one source of bad TV (and movies) is the marketing number whores. Instead of relying on creativity and quality they rely solely on numbers and focus groups. They take the creative process and turn it into a numbers game that tries to mix and match formulas that often generate the lowest common denominator of programming.
