he seems to be in a lot of movies you never heard of. or I've never heard of anyway.


how did he get his start. why is he popular?
 
He's a pretty decent actor, who seems to be able to play different roles (happy roles, or darker roles)...you've never heard of Wes Craven Presents Dracula (I guess you'd be considered lucky), The Mod Squad, Love & Basketball, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood or First Time Felon? (I personally really like First Time Felon, after seeing it on TV years ago...just hit me well).

interestingly enough, i've seen love and basketball had never heard of it till i saw it on ppv once. i didn't know that omar epps was in The Mod Squad, which i haven't seen yet. and the rest you mentioned i don't remember having seen.

Brother is just starting on HBO right now, Omar Epps is in it.

I remember first seeing him about 15 years ago on a nickelodeon show. It usually pitted boys against girls in competitions. Can't remember the name of the show though.
