If I was drafted, I guess I'd go. But I seriously doubt I'd make it past the medical screening (flat feet, bad knees, severe allergies, & drug reactions). Frankly, though, I don't want to go. That situation is none of our goddamn business. Yes, they made it our business by blowing a hole in our ship... But let's just pull the hell out. And if it DOES come down to military intervention, we could turn the entire middle east into a sea of glass if we wanted to. Why put our people on the ground to get killed over an overgrown family feud?

Viper I think you're misinformed with why the ship was in yemen. That ship was only going to be docked for a few hours for a scheduled refueling on its way to help enforce trade sanctions on iraq. THat is partly our business!

One thing I have observed - first hand - about some of the restless natives in the Middle East:

They have their terror attacks. They burn a Western leader's image in front of cameras. And they shout they will triumph over all in a holy war.

BUT........

When M1 Abrams tanks and M2 Bradley fighting vehicles open up on them......... When F16s, Stealth fighters and cruise missiles rain down on them like pestilence..... When MLRS rocket batteries eat their very soul alive............

They scream humanity!

I'd say that the next war will be fought in Colombia (Israel X Palestines I already consider as war). And the USA will have serious participation in it.
