Who is going to buy Diablo 2: LoD?

I can't wait for it . Just sucks that the 1.08 patch fubored stuff up so badly. Time for a new character I guess.

I dunno yet... I have another project that is holding my time lately. About the only reason I WOULD get it is to make an Assassin. She looks hella wicked.

The Druid just looks.. well, boring. The other classes aren't new to me, and I have played them to death. I will probably play assassin. Of course, I will shelf it for Dungeon Siege when it comes out in September...

My Sorcie is cleaning up after the patch. With the exception of the crappy drops, I think 1.08 was an awesome patch!

Game is too easy, too many korean players, laggy as hell (T3 connection), Cheaters up the wazoo, D2: LOD is just gonna have too many combinations for Godly items. Not worth it.

Hve you been following the development? They made it MUCH harder. They at least DOUBLED all realm capacities. They added ANOTHER Asia realm. They have addressed many of hte large b.net concerns.

I was on the beta as well. Stopped playing that a while ago. If you really like Diablo II, you will like LOD. But I found it to be the same old same old click fest. I get tired of it too quickly. I prefere either real intensive RPGs like Baldurs Gate, or more action FPS.

But if you enjoy D2 still, it is a good buy. New resolution, new chapter, a TON more items, 2 new characters, etc.

Personally, I thought that Diablo 2 was a waste of money. I know it has the random maps, but you would have thought in the many years that it took to create the game they could have made more content! Also, it did very little to improve on Diablo 1, which I had played to death.

I haven't played Diablo II since October of last year, but I'll still get the expansion to try out the 2 new characters.

I will probably wait for a bundle pack that has both Diablo II and the expansion, since I do not even own the original game right now.

NOT ME !!!

I played NONSTOP from August-January(sometimes on two computers at once, mind you), then gave it up. I even made $3000 in the process. I had beaten the game in just about every way imaginable, plus there wasnt even any more money to be made at that point. With the expansion coming up, I had two copies on pre-order and I decided to log on a few days ago and refresh my skills &amp; maybe start a new character....well, I have about ten FULL accounts that had been deleted (even though I HAD logged in periodically every month or so to keep them alive), plus, the accounts that WERE active had half of my charcters messed up so they couldn't be accessed. THEN, I to the bnet website &amp; find out about all the nerfing that they did to skills &amp; how they changed all the items up. Disgusted &amp; annoyed, I decide to play anyway...LAG LAG LAG LAG!!!! Worse than when the game first came out. SCREW BLIZZARD !!!! I cancelled my pre-orders and I am going to take up Anarchy Online when it comes out this week. Don't get me wrong, I had fun playing D2, but for all the money they made off this game, there is no reason for it to be unplayable, especially with a strong cable connection...I feel really sorry for the people on dialup. Blizzard is just raping all of there loyal followers by screwing with the game they have spent so much time on &amp; not keeping the service up the level expected by loyal fans.

Yeah, I played from roughly August - January as well, then put it down for a bit. I re-installed it about 2 weeks ago in anticipation of the expansion and haven't touched it since. Hopefully LOD will keep my interest for a few weeks. I'm gonna have a hard time dividing my time between LOD and Anarchy Online though
