I own and enjoy both my Wii and 360 Elite.

That said, if you don't mind ripping off your friend, go for it.

As others have already pointed out, Wii Sports is one game, not five.

I am going to start selling Wiis on ebay with Mario Party 8: "Wii with 217 games!!!"

I agree, it's bad enough that people pull that crap anonymously to each other over eBay. These are "good friends/co-workers". 😛

Seriously, I hate douchebags at Ebay advertising "30 gamezzz!!!" and you see Wii play and Wii sports.

WII + 4 CONTROLLERS + 14 GAMES!!

which translates to.

wii + 2 controllers w/nunchucks + 2 discs of minigames where 75% of them suck ass

Don't flame, I've already admitted my non-gamer status....what does "and the 360 is not banned" mean?

If someone mods an xbox (often to play pirated games), and microsoft figures it out, theyll ban the console from xbox live. Not the user, but the console, and theres no way to unban it.

If its a trusted friend, then Im assuming theyre not trying to dick you around. But the 360 is literally worth twice as much in dollars, so its such a lopsided trade that its suspect. So whoever gets the 360 will be financially ahead.

But if you consider yourself a non gamer (considering wii sports 5 games is a dead giveaway), I question whether the 360 is for you. Wii sports isnt the only game for the Wii, you know. There are "real" games, FPSes too. The 360 is great, but its as hardcore as it gets.

Ok, I vote the 360 then. Even if you feel you made a mistake afterwards, you can Ebay the 360 and use the money to purchase a new Wii. You should end up with a profit. In regards to the 360 not being banned thing, it means that MS has the ability to ban a 360 from being on XBOX Live because the previous owner of the 360 broke some rules and got his system banned.

Technically the 360 has NO warranty if transferred to another person. So with the 360's failure rate, that means the person who is getting the 360 is getting a HORRIBLE deal.

But Microsoft has been pretty lax with the warranty requirements, so as long as you can get it fixed when it breaks, the person who is getting the 360 is getting a great deal.

And knock off that 5 games crap, this isn't eBay.

I got mine from ebay and I was able to get a replacement.

Thanks for all the opinions, folks. This looked like a no-brainer to me, but I thought I'd double-check.

The response was even more one-sided than I expected.

Thanks.

Like I said, they have been lax. They had no obligation to fix it for you. As long as they continue to be lax, the OP is set.

Its been a bit since I've had a math class, but seems to me 2x$250 =/= $350

The numbers are still not equivalent, but the 360 Elite retails for $450 right now.

My mistake, I thought it was still $499.

Not that it really matters in the context of this thread, but I bought my Elite at 6:05AM, April 29th (launch day) for the MSRP of $480.

Ah, it was my mistake, for whatever reason the Elite part didn't register with me.

The person getting the 360 is better off,the wii is possible the worst next gen system out of all three systems and too get rid of it by getting a superior system is definitely a good deal.

This is far more about the dollar value than the opinion of which system is "superior". Whoever ends up with the higher dollar value wins no matter what their opinion of each system is.
