well that blows. I hate buying new GPU's. What's half decent out there that'll run on an AGP 8x motherboard?

it is not that bad, you may run 80 to 100. Just wait and see. Also, get pci-express, because it has such a good upgrade path.

I'd personally say a 6600GT or a 6800GT

Those SHOULD last a while at least.

Yeap, they look good, put still cost a quarter of a grand or more though :( I only like to spend £150 MAX on a card. only bought the 9800 pro about 8 months ago. I was waiting till it dropped to £110...

I can't wait! I've been playing DC a lot lately in anticipation.

But I need a new vid card, I doubt my 9600pro is going to cut it:(

Run in 640x480 in all it's glory!

I just hope I can edit the config to support widescreen ;p

Very excited but a bit worried it'll be more like DC than BF:V. They need to make sure the "faster is better" mentallity doesn't take over and the tatics of the series remain in tact.

I wouldn't be surprised if the game ended up like the original... Took a dozen patches to get the game working properly.

Good. BF:V sucked. The helicopters were way too easy to fly and didn't give you any control. Felt like "retard mode" had been enabled or something.
The aircraft in DC are sweet. You can really throw the apache/littlebird/gazelle -even the hind to a lesser extent - around allowing you to pull off some sweet moves. I'm talking flipping it upside down, launching an AGM then righting the chopper 5 feet off the ground behind a hill so the vehicle that's about to be nailed can't hit you whilst the missile is en route.

I hate games which 'dumb down' the flying of difficult aircraft, namely helicopters. It took me weeks of practice to get so good with the heli's and I think the advantage this gives you should be encouraged. When little jimmy who's just installed the game can hop in a chopper straight off and be able to use it fine, it makes the game dull. How do you progress?

I was really dissapointed in BF:V and hope BF2 will be as close to the DC style as possible.
I also find the original BF ie WW2 style was pretty dull. When it takes half an hour for a tank to go 1 mile there's so much time wasted just driving to some place. Give me the mirage fighter anytime.

not really excited

it better have something like the 3d sound voice comms of ut2k4. text didn't work in 1942. general voice wouldn't be much better.
