Who is considering purchasing a Bulldozer rig?

I am. I want to replace my AM2+ motherboard & DDR2 RAM with an AM3+ board and DDR3. I will keep my AM3 CPU for a while then replace it with a BD CPU. I really like how AMD allows some for backward compatibility.

I'm more interested in a Llano laptop. My wife needs one this summer so I am eagerly awaiting that release.

I've been holding off to see what Bulldozer brings. I've been running an overclocked Core2 E8400 right now with a Radeon HD4850. Need to upgrade both of those. Was going to pull the trigger on an HD6850 and 2500K a month or two ago, but after the Intel chipset bug and my finances going down the crapper, I'm going to have to wait anyway.

I can really see Llano being a real success. Especially if the thermals are very low. A basic quad will be much more than most people will need, and it has great graphics for a igp which will easily handle video decoding and so on. I will probably just build a Llano computer to tinker with and just sell it to a customer or something when i'm done. Thats mainly how I get to mess with the latest and greatest. 🙂
