Who is Buying A Conroe...

It won't ship until the 10th though, so it's up to you, I needed a system fast so I just ordered an AMD system instead.

w00t, AMD. Im going AMD as well but not because of conroes terrible availability. I just decided i wanted an upgrade path and i looked at AMDs track record VS Intels and i decided that based on the past AMD is the safest for Upgradability.
 
I'd like a Conroe, but between the availability, the lack of nf590 mobos, and the fact that AM2 is forward combatible with AM3, I'm real close to just going with AMD.

As i said before, AM3 being available on AM2 is the main reason im going AM2 right now
 
I am waiting for the E6600 @ Newegg along with some more motherboards supporting the core 2 duo offically
