kobe or duncan?

forget that you hate the lakers. forget that people compare kobe to jordan. ...just forget it all..

at the end of the year, who will come out on top in overall stats?

Well, according to some of the ESPN guys, Kobe won't do too well while Shaq is out. So, depending on how long that is, I'd say Tim Duncan.

ahhh very true....however, shaq has said that this is kobe's year. he also did a monster triple double tonight...

also, since shaq wont be 100% for a while (even after he comes back) kobe will be the go 2 guy.

tought choice none the less.

both are beyond awesome, but without shaq there's no way the lakers could ride kobe to the finals.

same can't be said about duncan tho, so my vote goes to duncan.

Well, since I'm playing in a rotisserie fantasy basketball league and picked up Duncan before Kobe, all other factors aside, I guess I value Duncan over Bryant.

I will say it is a tossup considering I have no idea who they are.

I think Duncan is better in a sense that he is the main factor for the Spurs' success. However, Kobe is a good all-around player so some of his stats in assists, steals, etc. will probably be better.

maybe 3 in a row wouldn't be asking much? he'll shine when shaq's out; but we'll see what happens when shaq comes back in. (crosses fingers for a peaceful relationship)

Okay, I am a Laker fan. Here's my take. Duncan is a good, dominant player. I would venture to say that Duncan means more to his team's success than Kobe does. HOWEVER, Duncan hasn't come up big in the playoffs since the Lakers started winning. He tries, sometimes too hard, or he'll vanish like Webber does. Their championship* aside (setting it aside is asking alot, but it deserves an *) Duncan hasn't been the type of dominant playoff superstar that Kobe has been. Kobe has ice in his veins, and wants the ball at the end of the game. I'll trust Kobe with the ball any time. Look at San Antonio's playoff record since Phil Jackson got to LA. out in 5 this past season, swept in dominant fashion the year before 4-0 and the year before, I don't remember :) That 4-0 sweep was dominant, the Spurs looked lost that year. This past year they played them a little better, but not well enough.

I think most of you guys are missing the question.

Who's gonna come out on top in overall stats?

This question has nothing to do with what they mean to their team/how well their team does.

dancing, thanks for youur opinion. i agree. i know there are a lot of laker haters (i am one of the few laker fans here in the nor cal area ) out there but it would be nice to see a 4-peat. hopefully kobe will be the deciding factor.

btw, i cant wait till the sac/laker games....this will settle it once and for all! :)

I dunno, I hate Basketball. Just a bunch of criminal deadbeat dads throwing a ball around as far I'm concerned. Sure, some aren't.. but then again, some of you guys aren't gay. There is always a natural deviation from the "norm". :)
