Who is Baal in Diablo2 ???

Ok, here's my situation. I finished the game diablo2 with my brother in multiplayer. We beat Mephisto in act3 and diablo in act4. BUT WHAT ABOUT BAAL ??? I NEVER SEEN HIM IN THE GAME, ONLY ON THE CINEMATIC............ Anyone ?

You never get the pleasure of meeting Baal in the game, you only see him in the cinematics....

From the looks of it, you will eventually get to meet Baal..............























In Diablo III or the Diablo II expansion pack. Blizzard gave themselves a not so subtle opportunity for an expansion or third Diablo by ending the game the way they did.
