I'm just an intern at a company == no benefits.

I'm not really worried about paying for regular doctor's visits (although it would be nice). I just want to make sure that if something terrible were to happen (*knock on wood*), I could bear the financial burden.

I don't know anything about health insurance providers. Can someone provide me with a name of a health insurance provider and an estimate what it would cost for coverage?

I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm 23, single, no kids, relatively healthy, still in school, non-smoker.

last year i quit one job to move to another with around 6 months of no benefits, so i got a bluecross plan. It was exactly what your looking for. Nothing special only for incase something bad happen to yourself were it would cost more than a couple of thousand dollars. Anyways it cost me like 43.xx a month for the policy. I was 20 at the time, no smoking, no health problems, social drinker. anyways, you might want to check them out.
