Would like to see another Age of Empires set in the ancient world?
Using the latest in graphics beauty and technology, I think it'd be kickass.
And after the anceint world is done, a re-make of AoE2 should be in order. I'm dying to revisit these periods with that game.
Anyone else?
 
I hate the fact that arrows only go like 10 meters (scale) in that game. WTF is the point of arrows if you can't send them arcing across the screen like a wave of pointed death? They hardly get a shot in before the melee units get to engage.

Same with the muskets in AOE3, that's even worse! And come to think of it just about every RTS I ever played has crappy range on the guns... what's the point? To make them behave like melee units so the devs don't have to balance the game for ranged strategy? Why should I have to move my tank within p1ssing distance of the other one to shoot at it? Is this how real tanks behave? No!

Yea... that had nothing to do with the question. It was just a rant.

Maybe I'll make a new thread just to rant about this.

aoe1-3 was awesome. reasons why:

aoe1 was one of the better rts games, and who else had cheat codes that let you add in people who shot lasers at you?
aoe2 improved on it with better graphics (higher resolutions *cough STARCRAFT cough*)
aoe3 had awesome graphics and the story wasnt that bad as i thought. fun LAN multiplayer imo, though i still prefer aoe1-2.
