I hate ea games with a passion. They make by far the worst games possible. They completly ruined the hole James Bond series, with the horrible gameplay and even worse replay value. I remember Goldeneye for N64...that was a fantastic game. But of course, EA wants people to make money off of it by making a horrible game which they called Goldeneye, and it angers me so much. They must have been like "Hey guys, lets make a really crappy game and then call it Goldeneye, so people think it's the sequel"
The sims, which when first came out was quite fun, slowly gained more ea like through the expansion packs, and then with the sims 2, which was one of the worst games I've ever played.
As far as thier sports games go, I really don't know if they are any good, as I don't like sports video games. But they are still going to be jerks in that area too, by signing a contract with the NFL (or one of the major sports leagues) alowing them to be the sole producer of games which involve those speficic players, stadiums, and teams.
Command and Conquer Generals is another great example of a good series, bought by ea, and turned to crap. That game sucks. It's an insult to the US and china. Zero Hour is an even bigger insult. Look at the pictures of the generals. It's an insult to real generals.
I hate EA games.

I don't play sports games, and yes I gree - I don't enjoy what EA's putting out *most* of the time.

Some games, like Burnout 3, are just fantastic, though.

I can't stand the stoopid slogan about "challenging everything" though - made ironic and even more idiotic since they're monopolizing the industry it seems . . ..

That was probably the worst of them all to me. The game was boring and bad the first time I played it, which was not true for nightfire and agent under fire. Those two were just bad after I beat them (which took about three hours...disqusting)

they were once the best, easily... I think they were pioneers for a while but when competition started arriving (at least for sports games), like Sega Sports, I realized that there can be better. If they still stood alone, I may think different.

I actively choose not to purchase EA products because of their business practices. Not because of the quality of their products.

I'd say the quality of online play/matchmaking in C&C Generals/Zero Hour is pure crap.

Difficult to setup a 2v2 or 3v3 game with people you know, people cheating and disconnecting and general connection madness if you have a nat. Any war3 player would explode trying to use and play Generals online.

Fixes? Yeah right. Never going to happen.

My brother ordered FIFA 2005 from them and they sent it to him with two Disc 1. It took around 7 emails just to get a HUMAN BEING to respond and get a refund... Also, their support for Battlefield 1942 was lame...

fvckers...

You're funny. You judge an entire lineup of games over two you think suck. Then you bash a GREAT business move on a sports game that you don't even like.

I don't care much for their Bond games or the C&C series, and I don't like the fact that they bought out the NFL license. However, they have plenty more good games besides the 2 you mentioned, and if I were EA, I would've bought the NFL license as well if I had the opportunity.

Oh well, we're all entitled to our opinions.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Sims. The original expansion packs (all 7 of them) didn't change the game, just added to it. So you were still playing the same game from when it "first came out", so I'm not sure how they made it more "EA like". And as for the Sims 2, it's the same as the first, but in 3D.

I prefer the Sega hockey games, but Madden is good and it's not EA's fault that the NFL dangled exclusivity out there. Pretty dumb to hate all EA games just like that.

Nightfire was awesome, and the new Time Splitters game looks pretty nice. But yes, I despise EA like nothing else, and they suck

Command & Conquer should have never been taken out of Westwood's hands.... NEVER

I like the engine... a lot... the moddability kicks ass, and the things it can do are nifty, but the content, and the multiplayer, and the storyline, and the music, and .... yeah... :(
