Who here still uses a VCR? Or both DVD and VCR

but yeh, my mother still has teh vcr, i guess some older folks still have some very old movies and shat on vcr cassette tapes =/

I sold my VCR 2 years ago, right around the time I got my PS2. All the shows I watch are re-runs anyway so I don't need to record TV. I think my dad still has his betamax though (he was pissed when VHS won).

I have a Digital VHS VCR.

I'm able to record HDTV in both 1080i and 720p. It looks fantastic. It's connected with a firewire connection to my cable box. Also, there is no DRM on it.

With all this talk of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray *players* being $800, I'm able to record and play HDTV with my DVHS VCR.
