Who here rides a bike?

I picked up a CBR250R as my first bike since decent ninjas are hard to come by around here. Haven't done much with it since I don't have cold weather gear and that limits my riding to >50 degrees F.

Starting with a small bike like the CBR250 is a great idea. Where do you live?

If your in the states have you considered taking the MSF course>? Its almost free and can save your life.

I live in Connecticut, here we are forced to take the MSF course to get the licence endorsement. Looks to be the weather around here should be getting above my threshold soon.

I have to say I retook the course a few years ago after not riding for about 4 years and I still got something out of it.



I remember uncorking a buddies of mine 89 CBR250 and it got some nice low end push with some more singing up high. I cant imagine the new ones arent starved either.

Actually, being a new person to a bike and wanting to see what it could do - I dropped way too many revs into the clutch too fast, brought that front wheel up and stepped off the back of the bike and dropped it on its side once. Quite the learning experience.

Its great around town, but highway I wish it had a little more pickup for getting around/out of people/situations where I am not confortable with.
