I still have some of it. GM limited-slip additive. It was GREAT stuff. No need for it now, though.

I've had it since the 80's. I guess it's still okay.

If remember right the USA gov banned whale oil products in the mid 70's, unsure thou

Probably right, but the had lots of it made and still available for a long time.
I remember back in the 80's one of the car mags giving the GM part numbers so you could go to a GM dealership and know what to ask for to see if they still had any.

I guess with all the synthetics now it's unnecessary.

Didn't pretty much all transmission fluid used to be whale oil? (like 35+ years ago)
