For its time, that was a great movie, with excellent effects (again, for its time) and an original idea that was well-executed. Would love to see a remake with modern CG and a storyline rework to reflect current events.

Tron is a sweet movie, that game looks like it kicks ass too. The place where I work was founded by people who worked at Robert Abel & Assoc, who did the effects on Tron.

oh god, i was curious what this revolutionary movie tron was so i rented the dvd. it was horrific:) like final fantasy but worse. i know it took them a lot of work according to the special features but the movie made me cringe it was so bad:p

Well, the movie was made 20 years ago so for you to compare it to Final Fantasy is actually a compliment. I do agree about the overall movie itself though; I've never been much of a Jeff Bridges fan.

i think it was the first movie with a significant amount of computer generated footage

it was cool, back then

i saw part of it on tv a couple years ago, kinda painful now

How old are you?
Unless you are very young, and just don't get it, I don't see how you can be an AT reader and not love this movie.
