I play FA. I've been hooked on SilkRoad Online, lately, but I jump on once or twice a week.
what's silkroad?
Acanthus: what changes don't you like?
I'm going to write a book for you, because it's hard to find a good general explanation of the game.
It's a MMORPG based around Chinese folk-lore and history, specifically the era surrounding the silk-road between Asia, the middle-east, and Europe. Quite addictive, and it's free to play. You can make micro-transactions for some neat items, but it's totally un-necessary in order to play the game in it's entirety. I love it. It has guilds, unions made up of guilds, fort wars, 4 different magic (force) skill trees and 4 different weapons skill trees. That's only the Chinese though, you can also make a Euro character, and they have mages, fighters, rouges, etc etc (I don't know much about that, I'm addicted to the Chinese characters). They all clash in a huge war based on three major jobs you can choose to play from. Traders, Hunters, and Thieves. You can imagine how that pans out, but basically the Traders fill up transport animals and travel from one capital city to another and make profit selling the goods. Hunters are hired by them to protect the caravan, and they get a cut of the profit. Thieves just try to kill them, steal the drops, and then sell the drops in the thief town for a profit.
www.silkroadonline.net <--- That's their main site. A word of warning, if you're thinking of playing.
Don't use bots. They just started a huge campaign against them this week, and they've already banned 1000+ botters from each server. There are over a dozen servers. In addition to that, a lot of "free bots" are actually trojans that steal your silk-road password. And lastly... It's just not nice to bot.
