Who here plays paintball regularly?

I just started today. It was fun but very different from what I thought it would be.

I play whenever I get time ... indoor arenas cuz that's what's best around here. Warehouse got taken over by a paintball club, and they did a nice job of it.

What is this angel I keep hearing about?

Also, how much money do you guys spend a month on paintball including equipment?
I want to get into the sport but I am afraid that the cost would be too high for a college student like myself.

angel is a uh upper end paintball gun


you can get a pretty good setup (pack, tank, gun, etc) for 500 bucks (check pb fs/t forums)

paint is like 40-50 bucks a case, i usually use half a case everytime i go

then air and gas and food and stuff...

Angels suck. Too many electronic parts, to much potential for a break down.
I did like the double trigger as well as the double fire it had by default though. (pull in, it shoots, let go, it shoots)

If you use half a case everytime you go, maybe you should learn how to aim
Pepperin' people to death doesn't take skill... try to play a game with a limited amount of paintballs, I try to use no more than 300 a game with 30 players. When I'm really fighting hard, I can use up to 500.

What is pump? Like you have to pump the air?. ..Sorry started out with semi so don't know what pump is.
Aren't autos banned from most tournaments anyways?

I spend about 70 bucks when I play at the local price gouger indoor place (Boston paintball), and about 30 when I play at my buddies house about 30 mins. away where we built a pretty fun field. I've got a scuba and it keeps everything simple and cheaper.

Can't wait til Hockey ends (Lol, hasn't even formally started yet), so I can start up with the NEPL. If anyone's from massachusett's area y'all should come play in the NEPL in the spring so i can shoot ya

Pump ... yeah, picture like a shotgun. Fire. Pump. Repeat.

Naturally, when you're sniping, it doesn't matter as much if you're pimpin' the pump. But have a semi-auto pistol as backup in case someone sneaks past your front line.

There's an article somewhere on modding those Wal-Mart "Vulcan" paintball guns into some pretty spiffy pistols. I'll search around and see what I can dig up.

the angel is one of the nicest markers out there. check www.wdp-paintball.com for more info. i used to play with an LED but i didn't care for relying on a battery, so i bought an image cocker (what's now the freeflow cocker) that i love.

when i go out for a day of rec ball i shoot around a case. for tourneys, 3 cases. at a scenario, probably 2 (i don't play at night). paintball is EXPENSIVE. it's not a poor man's sport. paint at my field goes for 107 a case, plus air (10-15 all day usually). paint prices vary, and some fields are bring your own (even tho most fields make their money off of paint sales).
