I've used Apples at school, work, in the army, etc. and I spent lots of time on a roommate's Mac a few years back but I can't recall having ever owned anything Apple...having QuickTime installed is as close as I'll ever come 😛

i have a Performa 6205 75mhz (603e processor). i'd love to have a newer mac to play around with, but they're out of my price range

just FYI

Also, the latest version of Photoshop is the only version that runs native in OS X.

I have a dual gig G4 as my video editing workstation and I couldn't be happier. 🙂

We have 512 Mb in there. I shouldn't have said Photoshop. I think she uses Painter and Freehand. I think it has OS X.1 already, but am not positive.

What browser to you use with OS X? She mostly complains about IE being buggy and overall slowness of the OS. It is a 550 mHz Powerbook.

Hm, let's see.

Laserwriter IIg -- still prints very well, needs a new pick up roller though. Amazing it still works since the mechanical parts are actually from a 1989 LW II NT. Needed a few smaller repairs over the years but it's just too bl$§%" heavy to carry downstairs to the dust bin so I just fix it (saving my back in the process 😉).

An old Peforma 630 (overclocked of course, even got a heatsink for it's vid chip 🙂) that's been serving duty in the kitchen as a sort of info terminal. With the evolution of website design utility is pretty marginal and I'll retire it soon.

And my beloved Newton Message Pad 2000 (upgraded). Such an elegant and userfriendly OS! The Win CE users should try one if they have the opportunity -- not to go out and pick the last few used ones, the thing's dead and gone sadly -- but to get a feel for how usefull a UI can be and consequently complain to Compaq and MS so that Win CE gets polished and fixed. I'll need a replacement for this thing when parts become unavailable in 2005 😉!

I've got 3 in my dorm room.......

Quicksilver 867MHz G4 (10.1.4)
PowerMac 533MHz G4 (10.1.4 Server)
iBook 500MHz G3

Love 'em all!

same company in thailand. it is actually a europeon based operator.

But if I have the money to burn now, I'll gladly buy the new iMAC's. IMHO, they are the coolest looking computers I've ever seen (perfect for the living room computer, heck it'll blend with the decor well🙂). They remind me of the robot "Number five" (or was it Johnny 5?) in the movie 'Short Circuit".

I can't believe I forgot about my little buddy when I wrote in my Apple list! I forgot my iPod! It's such an ordinary part of my life now, I almost forget its there!

I have an Apple IIe, a ClassicII, PowerMac 7100/66 AV, PowerMac Workgroup Server 200, and an iPod. At work, I have a B&W G3.
