Heres my question. I've got a disc that I want to burn that has a Video_ts.vob. I'm wanting to replace this file with another video_ts.vob. Unfortunately this breaks the structure of the disc and you can't burn it. Well I've tried Infoedit and tried to "GET VTS Sectors" and It updates, and appears to correct the sectors, but when I go into Nero to burn the CD, it still gives me an error. I tried using DVD LAB to reauthor the DVD but it outputs only .ifo files and doesnt create a vob for the Video_ts.vob, it combines my ts.vob into the the actualy movies vob.

I've also tried DVD FAB, but it didnt appear to work either, but I could be doing this all wrong :)

I registered at VCDhelp.com yesterday for the forums, but they make you wait a day to use it. It's been over 24 hours and I still cant post, damnit!

So do any of you guru's around here know?

That's beyond me unfortunately.

You might try some of the forums over at AVSforum.com, they're generally pretty knowledgable about this sort of thing. However I'd bet more than half would send you to VCD help.

About as far as I've gotten is making mnu'd DVD's off my replayTV and that's not really a big deal.

Good Luck. I can definately appreciate how frustrated you are right now. Just be patient you'll figure it out eventually.

Well I've actually burned a good number of DVD's and not had any fail on me. This is more of like a side project. What I was looking to do was incorporate the THX, DD, and DTS intros at the front of every disc I had depending on which audio they use. :D It's not something that will keep me from burning, but more of a fun project..ha. It's just a pain in the butt and very frustrating, as you said. I'm not one to give up easy.....so.......

Check out doom9

You have to wait 3 days to post, but you can learn a lot. It depends on what is contained in the video_ts.vob. If it is your original menu like most commercial dvd's then you probably can't do it. You could re-author it using a good program like scenarist or maestro and incorporate it yourself, but that would take some real effort (to even get the program and actually do it.

I visit doom9 all the time.

As I was saying, It's not a menu, it's just a THX, DD, or DTS intro that I wanted to replace the video_ts.vob with. It's not a huge deal, just something I wanted to do to make even better DVD's!

I understand what you are wanting to do. I meant that your original video_ts vob could be the top menu of the dvd which means you can't replace it. I put the THX sound clip on a homemade dvd and edited the picture to say NOT THX. I thought it was amusing and I love those sound intros.
