I'm trying to add music from a CD to a presentation. I know how to add it to one slide, but not to the entire presentation.

Anyone done this?

I've done this before for a wedding video. Can't remember how I did it though. :( Sorry.

Yes, but it only loops on each slide, not for the entire presentation. In others words, the song starts over again each time a new slide appears. I want one song to play continuously throughout the presentation.

Try this (found it on deja)
1. Insert your sound from file (midi, WAV, etc.). When asked, respond yes to "Play automatically?".
2. With the speaker icon selected, go to Slide Show > Custom Animation and click on the Multimedia Settings tab.
3. Under "While Playing" select "Continue Slide Show"
4. Under "Stop Playing" set a very large value in the number of slides (perhaps 3 times the number of slides in your presentation).
5. Click on "More Options" and select "Loop until stopped".

You're certainly welcome, IB, I'm glad that worked for you. But credit rightfully goes to "Sonia" who posted it on Usenet.

Sonia, consider yourself thanked, wherever you are! :)
